The praise of Gerardo Martino to Andres Guardado that would worry and envy Javier Hernandez

The Mexican team faces its counterpart from Korea and previous to the match Gerardo Martino left several titles in his press conference. A very important topic that he touched on was Andres Guardado and why does he play for the Mexican team despite his age and having younger players who can replace them. This would have caused the envy and concern of Javier Hernandez as he is no longer considered by Martino.

In one of Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez's last press conferences, the LA Galaxy forward had opened the doors to a possible return to the Mexican team. Although Hernandez said he was doing everything to go back, Gerardo Martino does not take it into consideration and thus it would seem that Hernandez's cycle in the Mexican team is over.

What Martino said about Andres Guardado could cause confusion for Chicharito Hernandez as the coach of Mexico said that Guardado as he has more than 15 years in the national team he was oblied to call him for the games against Netherlands and Algeria. Martino assured that Guardado has the leadership well-earned and that is why he calls him whenever he can.

This could be interpreted by Chicharito Hernandez as what he lacks to be able to be in the Mexican team. Remember that Chicharito Hernandez has not played for the Mexican national team since September 2019 after he had some extra-sports problems after the friendly against Argentina in which Mexico lost 4-0.
