The new Arsene Wenger that the coach himself awarded and could be more than 20 years in a top team
The historic French coach recognized the work of a colleague, that could get near to his record at Arsenal.
Arsene Wenger was one of the head coaches who marked an era in the Premier League. The French, now aged 71, was in front of Arsenal during 22 years. He managed the Gunners during 823 official matches, gaining important titles such as three Premier League, seven trophies of FA and other seven Super Cups and Community Shields.
His time at the club finally reached an end on June 2018, when he decided to leave. It will be hard to find in the future another coach who can equalize the amount of time he worked for the same team, even though there is one now rising that Wenger himself recognized this Thursday.
FIFA gave The Best head coach award to Jurgen Klopp, that was virtually given by Wenger. Klopp was competing at a very hard shortlist, as Marcelo Bielsa and Hans-Dieter Flick were also competing. The English was the one winning the award and receiving the congratulations by Wenger himself.
Klopp arrived to Liverpool on October 2015 and since then he has been one of the best coaches of the world. After 285 games in front of the team, he is one of the greatest candidates to last as much as Wenger, even though such a thing is hard to know for now.
Between many important titles, Klopp helped the Reds winning the Champions League trophy once again after many years. The German was also capable of winning the Premier League title and such is the loved they have for him that they signed him a contract until June 2024.
