Ben Olsen had been coach of DC United for more than 10 years but that came to an end. After the loss to New York City FC, the deuños of DC United decided that it was time that Olsen did not continue to lead the first team. In a meeting in his office I inform him that he will not continue with the first team but they want him to continue in the club.

DC United will have to look for a coach starting tomorrow as their managers told Ben Olsen that he will no longer continue to lead the first team. DC United has had one of the worst campaigns in its history where it could only win 2 games. The fans had been asking for Olsen's resignation several days ago but since he did not present it, the deuños decided to remove him from his post.

In his 10 years as coach, Olsen has only qualified for the playoffs four times and much of it is because the owners of DC United had hired stars like Rooney and Acosta. Despite having them, Olsen only won one game of the seven he played in the playoffs. Olsen continued in the position because he is a very loved person at DC United.

At the meeting they told him that they did not want him to continue with the DC United first team but they did want him to continue working for the club with the youth divisions. Olsen is the second coach to remain in charge of the same team since he came to DC United in 2010. It will be a before and after in the life of DC United.
