Frank de Boer made his debut tonight, when Netherlands lost against Mexico 1-0 in Amsterdam in a friendly at the international October break. Raúl Jiménez scored the only goal of the game and gave the win to the national team coached by Gerardo Martino, in a match that faced both coaches who passed through Atlanta United.

Frank de Boer said in before the game that Mexico was not the ideal rival for his debut, and so we saw in the field. With this lost, the Nederland coach has lost all of his managerial debut in his career. He started at Inter with a loose 2-0 against Chievo Verona, also losted at Crystal Palace in his initial game 3-0 against Huddersfield and did so with Atlanta United when loosing 3-1 against Herediano.

Netherlands will now have the first official game under de Boer's mandate, when facing Bosnia y Herzegovina in the UEFA Nations League on October 11 and against Italy in the same competition on October 14.

de Boer left Atlanta United in july of this year after several bad results and received the call of his national team a couple of months later. Few days after his presentation, he makes his debut that brings more doubts than certainties.
