Emilio Azcarraga would already be thinking about the replacement of Miguel Herrera for the following season, as the actual coach apparently put his resignation on the table of Club América´s board according to news from the portal ‘El 10’. Although the board has not taken a decision yet, it is said that there is already a plan B and that it is gaining strength.

Although Miguel Herrera still leads the team, the final decision is made by the Club's board of directors, according to local media, there are three main names that would be on the desk of Emilio Azcárraga, one being the most attractive to take command in in case Herrera leaves his post. This is Antonio Mohamed, who was already coach of Club América and who gave them the league title, would be the first candidate to take command of the team before a virtual departure of Miguel Herrera.

Antonio Mohamed left Coapa after problems with the former sports director, Ricardo Peláez, who was already negotiating the arrival of a new coach despite the fact that Mohamed had just won the league title. It should be remembered that Antonio Mohamed recently left Monterrey after not entering to the Liguilla, but managed to get with the northern team  the Liga MX title, Copa title and Concacaf Champions league title.
