Jürgen Klopp tries to be a good role model for his young players. And that is why he reprimanded a young Liverpool prospect who went to train more worried about being seen with luxury items than anything else. He wants his players to have the feet on the ground, and does not accepts behaviours like that.

The former Reds defender Dejan Lovren, who now plays for Zenit, shared the anecdote that said a lot about the German's character and his beliefs. Klopp asked the player how did he came to training, and he answered on a Mercedes. And then what watch was he wearing, and he replied a Rolex.

And then the manager asked how many first team matches had him, and that 18 year player, in his first training with the first team, said zero. However, Lovren chose to not reveal the identity of this player, who probably is in the first team at this point, because Klopp trusts the youngsters.

After that day, the young player went to training driving an average car. When asked about this, the Croatian centerback said that he does not blame the kid, but his parents. The youngest are not told to be modest, and end up being spoiled, Lovren showed his discomfort to that kind of attitudes.
