Matías Almeyda has made history at Chivas, where he transformed himself into a top head coach after gaining titles with a club in a very complicated time. After that, he left to San Jose Earthquakes MLS side, where he is not having his very best moment. But, despite that, an offer may arrive to him soon.

Brazilian team Palmeiras has sacked Vanderlei Luxemburgo and Almeyda's name is an option for the sport advisers. Even though he is comfortable at the MLS, an offer from a competitive Brazilian team may change his plans. For now, SJ Earthquakes played 58 games under his mandate.

Palmeiras may also hire Uruguayan Gustavo Poyet, Argentinian Gabriel Heinze or even Spanish Quique Setién, recently sacked from FC Barcelona, as Brazilian press reported. The team will have very important games immediately, as the ones from Copa Libertadores.

Almeyda started his career as a head coach at River Plate, his former club, and left after only 40 matches in which he achieved to ascend the team to the first division after the historical relegation they suffered. Afterwards, he was at Banfield and Chivas, before coming to SJ Earthquakes.
