Wether it is a great generation of players or merit of the coach, nobody can say Gerardo Tata Martino is doing a bad job. Even more, it's arguable if his job it's just good or very good. But humans have feelings and emotions. And rivalries, some of which doesn't necessary makes sense.

Gerardo Martino's bad blood towards Miguel "Piojo" Herrera -and the other way around, too- is supposed to be affecting the national teams lists. In this case, the drama is about León's right back, Fernando Navarro, who has been showing an outstanding level, but not been called by Martino.

The fact that Navarro isn't called for the national team isn't that surprising. What's weird -and has founded the theory about Martino's relations as a factor of influence in the national team's call ups- is that  Navarro wasn't called to train with the local national team that gets together twice a week.

Fernando Navarro had been one of the favorite players of Miguel Herrera during his tenure as Mexico's head coach. The same could be said about Luis Montes, although both cases also include the factor that sources around the national team has informed that they were very insubordinate.
