Nuno Espirito Santo became the third Premier League manager to receive his sacking orders after Watford's Xisco Munoz and Newcastle's Steve Bruce. Nuno was fired after weeks of mounting pressure was sealed by a 3-0 home loss to Manchester United.
He was appointed in June and given a two years contract worth £7m per season and has only been on the job for 124 days before he was fired despite the club waiting for 72 days to hire him after José Mourinho was sacked.
Tottenham will pay the remainder of his £14m per two years contract. It could either be paid weekly like he's still employed or paid in a lump sum. Nuno left Tottenham with a 50% win record, the worst of any Tottenham manager in the Premier League era.
He left Wolverhampton Wanderers at the end of last season having spent five years at the club and moved the club from League one to the Premier League. Antonio Conte is Tottenham's choice to replace Nuno Espirito Santo despite the Italian turning them down earlier in the season.
