FC Barcelona is going through a big transformation. Everything started with the departure of ex-president Josep María Bartomeu and could end with the one of Lionel Messi, if the Argentinian legend finally decides to leave. The club is facing a large crisis and will have to recover soon.
Head coach Ronal Koeman is being the leader of the new project, and he has made a lot of changes since his arrival. After axing a lot of players, the list may now get bigger after the Dutch coach is considering to make Sergiño Dest USMNT player out.
Dest played nine games so far this season and, even though he performed well in some, he didn’t make it a top level in his presentations and may now be entering the transferable list. Barcelona paid $23 million for him to Ajax and their best option now will be giving him on a loan until he gains the experience needed.
Koeman is also thinking on that option due to the appearance of Alex Balde, a 17 years old left defender who is arising from the youth team and who showed some incredible conditions that make the coach think that he should be given some opportunities, even Dest. Balde has a contract until June 2022 and is looking forward to play soon with the first team for the first time.
