It would also be a way to make the game faster and more spectacular, offering the possibility of creating a reversal in a few moments ", declared Wenger in the project that would affect the regulation in the throw-ins. In his rationale, Arsene explained the reasons of the game why a rule change should be considered. "With five minutes to go, a serve in your favor should be an advantage, while in a similar situation you find yourself with only nine outfield players against ten from the opposing team," the former DT's explanation began.

"The statistics say that, out of every ten throw-ins, in eight cases you lose the ball. Also because you are obliged to use your hands and whoever receives the ball is always under the defending team's mark", he explained. Building on these foundations, Arsene Wenger created the draft for the rule change for throw-ins.
