Real Madrid: the mistakes of Zinedine Zidane that are costing him his job

Managing Real Madrid must be a very demanding and difficult job. And Zinedine Zidane is suffering the consequences of it not going well. The team got a disgraceful loss to Alcoyano, a lower league team, in Copa del Rey. And before they had lost versus Athletic Club in Spanish Supercup semifinals.

The president Florentino Perez is surely upset with that, but also with mismanagements of money for transfers asked by the manager that resulted poorly or are not even playing, like Luka Jovic, Eder Militao, Martin Odegaard, and more. Vinicius is one of the most worrying cases, due to the 60 millions paid for him that do not look like a good investment.

Another factor that makes Zizou look bad is about the players who left the club due to a lack of opportunities with him, because they are doing well. Achraf Hakimi at Inter, Brahim Diaz and Theo Hernandez at AC Milan, Dani Ceballos at Arsenal and Sergio Reguilon at Tottenham are some examples of that.

And lastly, the dressing room is losing trust on him. Players like Isco, Marcelo and Vinicius are not playing regularly and are not happy with the limited playtime they get. The leaders Sergio Ramos and Luka Modric support Zidane, but they might leave at the end of the season and the mister might end fighting  alone.
