After days of negotiation, Pep Guardiola can finally smile because the arrival of central defender Ruben Dias was made. It is the biggest expense in a player of that position in all the years that the manager was in charge of Manchester City.

The City leadership complies with every request of the Spanish coach, and with this new deal they have already spent more than 470 million euros just on defensive players. Guardiola has an obsession with building a solid team defensively, one of the failures of the English team in recent years.

So much is the money invested by the club that Guardiola will be forced to win the Premier League, even if he competes against very powerful teams like Klopp's Liverpool. If he does not stay with the English league, he will have to step aside, especially after the elimination in the last Champions League.

It should be mentioned that they did not get off to a good start at Premiere as they lost 5-2 to Leicester at their stadium. The concern in Manchester is latent but they trust that with the arrival of Dias and the knowledge of Guardiola they can get the Premiere League again
