Pep Guardiola and Zinedine Zidane have been undeclared enemies for decades. One is a FC Barcelona legend, the other one is a Real Madrid legend. They faced each other in UEFA Champions League last season, with Guardiola's Manchester City advancing to the next round.

And now the former manager of FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich wants to take what Zidane thought was going to have. Zizou has been planning this move for months but it turns out that Guardiola will snatch it from his hands. What Pep wants to steal is the signing of the most wanted free agent outside Lionel Messi.

This is the transfer of David Alaba. The Austrian will leave Bayern Munich next summer, when his contract expires. Zidane was counting on him to join Real Madrid, but Guardiola contacted the defender and, having managed him at his time in Munich, the 28-year-old would be keen to a reunion.

Alaba has spent nine seasons with Bayern, and won everything at club level, including two UEFA Champions Leagues. This versatile player spend big part of his time in Germany playing as a left back, but in the last seasons he was moved to play as a center back, with Pep being the first who did that experiment.
