Rio Ferdinand has spent most of his time after retirement as a pundit at BT Studio doing match analysis for Premier League and UEFA Champions matches and most importantly talking about his former club, Manchester United and teammate, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Ferdinand during Ole's good run as interim manager made the famous Ole on the wheel statement; "Man United might not thank me, but get the contract out, put it on the table, let him sign it, let him write whatever numbers he wants to put on there -- given what he's done since he's come in -- and let him sign the contract and go. Ole's at the wheel, man -- he's doing his thing. Man United are back!"
Just like Ferdinand and many other Manchester United's legends, especially the class of 92 wanted, Solskjær got the job on a permanent basis and three years down the line he has nothing to show for it. They have had enough and most including Ferdinand are calling for him to be sacked.
"I think Ole would leave now with his head held high. From when he came in to where he got us, at the beginning of this season, has been positive," Ferdinand said on his podcast, Vibe with Five, expressing skepticism about his colleagues ability to take the club forward which has been obvious from the beginning.
