Top managers are known to be very cautious about taking a job mid season as there will be no time to access their players and probably make new signings or sell out unwanted ones. This is the dilemma Manchester United are in right now with a possible managerial change at the club happening soon.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer led Manchester United to another disaster outing today in the 4-2 loss to Leicester City which ended United's away unbeaten run of 29 games. United were torn apart by the Foxes and were left picking themselves apart by defensive mistakes leading to all four goals.

Two top managers who are available who have been linked to the Manchester United job in the past have been former Chelsea, Juventus and Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte who left Inter Milan last season despite lifting the Scudetto. Also linked is former Real Madrid manager who managed Cristiano Ronaldo.

Those two are reportedly unwilling to take any job offers mid season and Manchester United could be left stuck to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, until the end of the season at least. Solskjaer replaced Mourinho in December 2018 and has spent close to £500m on signings but is yet to lift a trophy.
