LA Galaxy were still looking for a head coach after a very complicated season. Guillermo Barros Schelotto had to leave and the club started to look who could be his replacement. Some first names that appeared were the ones of Javier Aguirre and Robbie Keane, but it seems to be that neither of them will be.

Rumors point out that the next coach of LA Galaxy, that will train Javier Chicharito Hernández and company, will be Greg Vanney. Aged 46 and born in Virginia, he has just left Toronto FC after an historical period at the Canadian side and is set to join Galaxy as the new coach.

Vanney was in front of Toronto for 249 matches, in which his side won the domestic treble. He joined on August 2014 to make his first experience as a first coach and left a couple of hours ago. He also had experience at Real Salt Lake and Chivas, as coordinator and second coach respectively.

It isn’t yet confirm that the signing will happen, but it is very probable to occur. The reason why Vanney is linked to LA Galaxy is because he played in the club many years and even, he retired there. As a player he also played for FIU Panthers, UCLA Bruins, Sacramento Scorpions, SC Bastia, FC Dallas, Colorado Rapids and DC United.
