Hugo Sánchez responded to France Football for not having been considered in the top 10 of the best center-forwards of all time, admitting that he would like to be on this list but what surprises him the most is that they do not understand what a center-forward is, as they had included Johan Cruyff as a top 10 center-forward.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, France Football did not de delivered this year's Ballon d'Or award and instead decided to compose the all time Dream Team. Hugo Sánchez pointed out that the 3-4-3 formation proposed by France Football was at least weird and criticized that Alfredo Di Stefano and Paco Gento were not considered.

The nominees by 'France Football' magazine for best center forward -in the list that Hugo Sanchez could have been on- are: Dennis Bergkamp, Johan Cruyff, Kenny Dalglish, Eusébio, Sándor Kocsis, Gerd Müller, Romário, Ronaldo, Van Basten and George Weah.
On December 17, the definitive team will be announced after the votes cast by its 170 journalist around the world, as is done in the voting for the Ballon d'Or.

Another former player upset with the decisions of 'France Football' is Samuel Eto'o. The 39-year-old Cameroonian was unhappy at being included in the right winger list when he played center forward. Now Eto'o will have to compete for a spot at the Dream Team roster with Lionel Messi. The former Barcelona player is on the list together with David Beckham, George Best, Luis Figo, Garrincha, Jairzinho, Kevin Keegan, Stanley Matthews, and Arjen Robben.
