Matías Almeyda has made an entire professional career as a manager. He was formed at River Plate and then passed through Banfield, Chivas and finally arrived to San Jose Earthquakes. After 62 matches as a head coach, since his arrival on January 2019, he could finally leave the MLS side.

In another league, Antonio Mohamed could leave Monterrey after 52 matches in the first team. His team was eliminated from they Guard1anes playoffs against Puebla and Mohamed is set to leave, as himself recognized during the press conference after the defeat.

Now it is rumored that Almeyda could arrive to the Liga MX side to replace Mohamed. During his pass to the Liga MX he was multi-champion as a coach at Chivas, where he managed the team for 147 games. The good memories he left at the club could make him return possible after some years.

Almeyda is 46 years old and as a player had an incredible career, at River, Sevilla, Lazio, Parma, Inter, Brescia, Quilmes, FK Lyn and Fénix. After all these years and the experience, he may be going back once again to the Liga MX when joining Monterrey if Mohamed finally leaves.
