Pep Guardiola is one of the best head coaches ever. The trainer has gained two Champions League titles, two Premier League titles and many other competitions and distinctions during his 50 years. As he is one of the bests, he demands for top players, and currently he is asking for some of them at Manchester City.

The Catalan coach arrived to the Premier League side on July 2016 and since then he has managed the team during 265 matches. With a contract signed until June 2023, he thinks on staying and that is the reason why he wants some players to arrive during the next transfer window.

The great objective is to win the Champions League, a title that the Citizens could never conquer in their history. The first player for whom Guardiola asked is Erling Haaland, the Norwegian attacker from Borussia Dortmund that is set to be one of the best strikers of the world in the future.

Lautaro Martínez is another player he has put an eye on. The Argentinian forward is in talks to renew his contract with Inter, but if Manchester City hurry up, they could convince him to make the move. The last one on the list of Guardiola is Romelu Lukaku, the other attacker from Inter who has already played in the Premier League for Everton and Manchester United.

The departure of Aguero

The necessity of Guardiola to sign an attacker has to do with the possible departure of Sergio Aguero. The contract of the Argentinian striker with the English club ends on June 2021, and he could then leave as a free agent. As Gabriel Jesús hasn’t reached his best level either, Pep is asking for another forward to arrive.
