Liverpool arrived in London undefeated to face West Ham. After Chelsea's stumble, a victory would have placed the Red team just one point behind the lead, but set-piece errors and the success of the 'hammer' team caused Jürgen Klopp's pupils to be defeated 3-2 in a duel of alternatives that, despite the failures of the Merseyside team, could fall on either side.

Spurred on by their crowd, West Ham started the game with great impetus. He himself, almost unexpectedly, found a reward for the first few changes, because after a corner kick Alisson put the ball into his own goal. The Brazilian goalkeeper called a foul and the VAR reviewed the action for several minutes, but finally the goal rose to the scoreboard.

Far from destabilizing Liverpool, Jürgen Klopp's side responded with confidence. The 'red' team took over the ball and, meter by meter, began to push West Ham against their own goal until David Moyes's pupils lived practically constantly in their area.

Jürgen Klopp did not have a good time during the game. His team failed to mark the superiority that they used to, and Aleman showed it on his face. His annoyance was evident, and although he did not speak after the game, it was clear that he was not at all happy with what happened in London.
