Know why Matías Almeyda would stay for a long time in MLS

Matías Almeyda, San Jose Earthquakes coach, is building a team that wants to reach the top of MLS. In an interview, he revealed that he will not coach in Argentina due to the disorganization of the tournament, taking as a clear example what has happened with Club Atlético Boca Juniors (had several coronavirus cases in its squad).

Almeyda also revealed that he received a proposal years ago to lead the Argentina National Team, but rejected it for the previously mentioned reason. The coach feels calm in MLS and plans to stay in the San Jose Earthquakes for several years.

Since 2019, when he took the managing of San Jose Earthquakes, Almeyda obtained an average of 1.28 points.
