The Premier League was set on fire after the comments from Jürgen Klopp to Manchester City. The Liverpool manager told that the Citizens had two weeks off because of COVID-19 in December while his club had activity non stop, and that was the reason why his team is underperforming while the team of Manchester is on top of the league.

This statement was heard by Pep Guardiola, and he got angry. He was being accused of taking advantage of a serious situation when some players of his squad had caught the virus. So Pep mocked the German and said 'Klopp is wrong: We did not have two weeks off, we had two months off'.

Not just that, Guardiola warned that on Sunday, when these teams face each other, he will ask his Liverpool colleague for an explanation. He said that he was surprised because he did not expect Klopp to be one of those coaches who like to criticize others in press conferences. They had a good relationship, but it seems it broke definitely.

Liverpool is currently in the fourth place in Premier League with 40 points, while Manchester City is first with seven points more than the Reds. If the Citizens win on Sunday, Guardiola will have a bigger chance of winning the league and he will make Klopp take his words back.
