Manchester United versus Liverpool is the biggest rivalry in English football without any doubt due to the history shared between the two clubs and level of pulsating matches that have happened between the two teams over the years.

Their current managers Jürgen Klopp and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer have also been involved in some cracking encounters since they both took charge at the respective clubs. They have also been involved in a war of words in the media, majorly about the awarding of penalties to their respective clubs.

The last encounter between the two clubs was in the Premier League, a very high energy match that ended in favour of Liverpool 4-2 and it boosted Liverpool's pursuit of Champions League football which was successful at the end of the season and it dented United's pursuit of Manchester City.

The two managers have met six times as managers of Manchester United and Liverpool, and never outside of the clubs. Jürgen Klopp has won two games, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has won just one while three matches have ended in a draw. Solskjaer has never beaten Klopp in the Premier League.
