Ronald Koeman is not enjoying his first months coaching Barcelona after replacing Quique Setién. Following the humiliating 2-8 defeat against Bayern Munich that led to his exit from the bench. The former Dutch international has taken a team in flames, but still, he’s had some public controversies with the players.
Now, the team is planning Sunday’s match against Elche for La Liga’s Round 20. Among some injuries, Koeman must find out who will replace Lionel Messi, who is suspended for this game. The Argentinian master has been ruled out, so he has to sort out another penalty taker for this clash.

But his press conference was not so well earlier on Saturday, and for sure, his players won’t like his words. “I won’t lie, an FC Barcelona’s player must be exhaustively demanded. If we have a game like the last one, I can’t just go out and say we played well. I’d rather leave that for other coaches, not me”.
Koeman’s biggest concern relies in the last match they played against Segunda B side Cornellà for Copa del Rey. Despite a 2-0 win, the team missed not one, but two penalty kicks. FC Barcelona’s performance was not convincing at all. “It’s completely inacceptable to miss 7 out of the last 12 penalties”, he said.
