Gerardo Martino said in a press conference recently that he considered Liga MX at the same level as the clubs in Europe and this is shown by his call-up list for the Mexican team. In the Mexican team there are players from all the Liga MX teams except the current leader of the league, Club Leon.

The Mexican team must face Korea and Japan in two friendlies and no Club Leon player is called up for those matches (Cota was at the last minute due to injury). For the same reason, doubts grew about whether Gerardo Martino had a problem or if they would lower an order that he could not summon Leon's players. Finally that was revealed and to the peace of mind of the fans of Leon none of that happens.

The question is 100% football and also Club Leon has the majority of its squad made up of international players. The absences that were criticized were that of goalkeeper Crota, who finally traveled due to Talabera's injury, and that of defender Fernando Navarro, who did not travel because Martino considers that there are other better players in his position.

In addition to these two players, Luis Montes could have been called up but he himself decided that he no longer wanted to go to the national team due to personal problems. The midfielder who is one of the best in Liga MX decided to step aside from the Mexican team after he was not summoned in the last lists.
