Some few years ago, he was one of the best strikers of the world. Atletico Madrid had great times with him upfront and made Diego Simeone happy. And when he spent some time outside the club, he was still scoring easily. Now he is a free agent and the soccer of America is waiting for him.

He was kicked out of the Colchonero for causing problems in the dressing room. And he might cross the Atlantic again and come back to play to his continent. There is a team behind him, and Diego Costa, league winner with Atletico Madrid and Chelsea, might find finally a new club.

That club is Boca Juniors. The richest team in Argentina would benefit of him being a free agent, and with that financial state they might be able to afford his wages. He could play alongside Carlos Tevez, another top class forward, forming an attacking line that anyone would fear.

He would rather stay in Europe, but the option of being near Brazil, his homeland, could be attractive for him. Boca is the last Argentinian champion and the option of playing competitively in South America for the first time might play a role on the 32 year old striker making a final decision.
