Atlético Madrid players celebrate with Diego Simeone, as the International Federation of Football History and Statistics prepared a study in which it announced that Diego Simeone is the best coach of the last decade. Simeone, who was the winner of the annual award for the world's best technical director in 2016, tops the list of the best coaches of the last 10 years, followed by Pep Guardiola and Jürgen Klopp.

The Atlético Madrid coach put in a great performance with his team by winning a La Liga title, a Copa del Rey, a Spanish Super Cup, two Europa Leagues, two UEFA Super Cup titles and finished twice as runner-up in the UEFA Champions League. Within the Top 10, the coach Marcelo Gallardo is also located for his great work at River Plate, with the same number of points as Mauricio Pochettino, who worked for Tottenham.

Simeone has accumulated 502 games for Atlético Madrid, where he also stood out as an important player, with a total of 302 victories, 118 draws and 82 defeats. Simeone is the second coach with the most official matches directed and is the current leader of the Spanish league. The Cholo´s team is the third most effective team in the European football, according to a report by the Catalan newspaper Sport.

Bayern Munich, current champions of the UEFA Champion League, is the team with most points: 49 out of 63 possible in this season, which is 78% effective. FC Porto  is second with 77% (44 out of 57) and Atletico de Madrid, current leader of La Liga, is ranked third with 75% (47 out of 63). Ronaldo's Juventus is in fourth place with 73% (48 of 66) and Guardiola's Manchester City is fifth with 71% (45 of 63). Then FC Barcelona follows, with the same percentage (68%) as Red Bull Leipzig, from Germany, and PSG.

After these 3 teams mentioned above, it is followed by Liverpool of the German Jürgen Klopp, with 67% of the points (46 of 69); while the rest of the Top 10 is completed by Sevilla, Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid, all with 65%
