One thing you can't put past Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is his ability to cook up a few wins when his job is at stake to save himself of getting sacked and if the results of this night are consequential, it has only saved his job for an extended period of time and assures him of safety no matter the result against Liverpool at the weekend.

Manchester United were two goals down at half time but a brilliant second half display capped by a brilliant Cristiano Ronaldo header won the match for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men at old Trafford, but if Manchester United are a serious club, it should not be enough to save Ole's job.

The Norwegian is almost three years into the job at Old Trafford having replaced Mourinho at old Trafford in 2018 and has overseen a self acclaimed rebuild with absolutely nothing in trophies to show for, just some inconsequential stats that no one would remember if he gets scaled without winning anything.

His decision making, in game management, man management and tactical prowess have all been called into question leading many to say he's not qualified for the job and should be replaced. The win today is United's third win in eight games. With such a talented squad Solskjaer should not remain at the club if Manchester United were a serious club.
