Barcelona's experiencing decisive moments in its sporting future. Once the season ended, where he only won the Copa del Rey and then was harshly eliminated in the Champions League at the hands of Paris Saint Germain and also reached the last date with no chances of being champion in La Liga, Joan Laporta analyzes who will be the coach of the first team for the next season. Next, we present all the candidates to fill the position.

Ronald Koeman

The current coach did a great job this season. Nobody expected in September, or even in December, to reach the last matches with a real chance of getting the double. In the end everything was cut short by three bad games in which eight points escaped. Although it has been a Barcelona that has been improving throughout the season except in the final meters, Laporta isn't at all clear about his continuity. On Tuesday they held a 20-minute meeting, in which nothing was defined.

Xavi Hernández

Xavi's shadow has hovered over the Camp Nou since the electoral campaign in which he was with Víctor Font. It was never pronounced in this sense what has allowed Laporta's election to be now. The president, however, is not quite convinced. Figures from the environment closest to him yes, but the highest president does not quite see it clearly.

Hansi Flick

It was one of the options that the club was considering to replace Koeman. Flick had done an excellent job with Bayern Munich, sweeping Barça in the Champions League (8-2) two seasons ago, and with which he got a sextet. The coach has just left his post in Munich to replace Löw in the national team. There was some contact to see the availability of Flick to go to Barcelona when the contract with the German federation was not signed, but the idea of Flick remained firm. He will be the coach until 2024.

Mikel Arteta

He's a coach that Laporta has always liked. In fact, during the electoral campaign they already surveyed him to see what his situation was and his predisposition to come to a Barcelona if they called him. At the moment, he is in talks with Arsenal to stay at the London club.

Ten Hag

The Ajax coach is another coach who would fit in well with the Barcelona style. Both clubs share the same philosophy of play with an offensive game and possession of the ball as basic ideas. Ten Hag has formed a great Ajax that, as is often the case with this club, had to sell its figures to the interest of the greats.

Frank Rijkaard

Mundo Deportivo published a few days ago that it was one of the options that Laporta was considering. He was the coach with whom Barcelona won their second European Cup during Laporta's first term. The biggest problem is that Rijkaard has been away from the football benches since 2013.

Jürgen Klopp

He's a coach that Laporta likes a lot. His career at Liverpool in recent seasons is his best endorsement even though he's a coach who doesn't play with the style of Barcelona. The problem is that he currently has a contract in force with Liverpool and it will hardly be broken.

Josep Guardiola

It's Laporta's dream. He would love for him to agree to be Barcelona's manager, but it doesn't seem likely. From the outset, Pep's now focused on the Champions League final that City plays against Chelsea next Saturday. In addition, in some statements he made it clear that he would not return to Barcelona as a coach.
