Toronto FC was undoubtly the MLS sensation at the start of new season. However, every train has a stop and the Canadians were defeated by Montreal Impact in a local rivalry for 1-0. Alejandro Pozuelo had the chance to tie the game with a penalty kick but in spite of shooting directly, he decided to assist Pablo Piatti. Finally goal was cancelled due to invasion and Greg Vanney didn't like it at all.

"I just think it's unnecessary when we're down a goal,” Vanney said. “It's something that you might want to do when you're up, but it's just unnecessary in my opinion at this moment. I'll share that with him and talk about and try to get the logic behind it. I don't have any more answers other than that". The Toronto FC player was not happy at all with that decision after the final result.

The Canadians, with their yesterday result, won't arrive to the record of more matches in a row without being undefeated. That record of 19 matches still has FC Dallas and Columbus Crew SC, so it seems that Toronto FC would have to wait.
