Besides the great performance against Nashville last Saturday, with a brilliant Pity Martinez, who scored a stellar brace, Atlanta United is still looking for a new head coach in their substitute bank. In the last few hours, a new name was included in the list of possible managers to replace Frank De Boer: Gustavo Morinigo.

Morinigo has an interesting background. As a manager he coached Nacional and Cerro Porteño, two of the biggest clubs in the South American country. After rumors, Morinigo explained: “The idea of the proyect is to go out from Paraguay, but I do not want to give details of clubs, neither countries. However, it is for next year. We hope it can be done”.

Under interim coach Stephen Glass, Atlanta United reached their third win on the MLS in this season. But the team of the five stripes claims for a new mindset to maintain their position in the playoff zone. And the incorporation of Morinigo can give them that air change they are looking for.
