Aston Villa and Norwich both have new managers in the dugout today after they sacked their previous managers. Dean Smith was involved in both actions; he was sacked at Aston Villa and hired by Norwich in the same week while Steven Gerrard is the new boss at Aston Villa.
Dean Smith lost five games in a row at Aston Villa before he was told to leave, his last match as Villa boss was a 1-0 loss against Southampton and his first match as Norwich boss was a 2-1 win over Southampton.
After Aston Villa sacked Dean Smith, they went for Rangers manager and former Liverpool manager Steven Gerrard who couldn't resist the urge to work in the Premier League and accepted the job.
He won his first ever Premier League match as a manager, a 2-0 win over Brighton and Hove Albion. The scenes at Villa Park made the match more memorable as Aston Villa scored two in the last six minutes to get the win.
