Eden Hazard arrived to Real Madrid on July 2019, as the top signing from the Galacticos during that transfer window. Coming from Chelsea, the offensive midfielder was set to be the new Cristiano Ronaldo at the club, but things didn’t go as president Florentino Pérez or head coach Zinedine Zidane were expecting to.

The Belgium cost a fortune but didn’t perform as fans were waiting him to do. After 31 matches played, he scored just three goals since his arrival and gave seven assists. Zizou has lost his patience with him and there are several chances for the playmaker being axed and the Galacticos trying to recover what they invest for him.

Hazard was formed at AFC Tubize and then played for LOSC Lille, Chelsea and Real Madrid. At his 30 years old it is hard to think that he could now improve his level, despite it is something that many fans are waiting for at Madrid. The contract signed until June 2024 gives almost no other chances for them.

Selling Hazard nowadays would be a big loose of money for Real Madrid, as he has a reported value of $50 million, according to specialized website Transfermarkt, which means $65 million less than what they paid for him more than a year ago. If he departs, Manchester City has been the first club showing interest on him and the return to the Premier League could be a good option for the player.
