Newcastle United was taken over by a group led by Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund On 7 October 2021, after years of speculations. This brought back hope in the fans who were angry at the authority at the club before.

The takeover as expected is to bring in a new era, from the management of the team to the players and the fans are confident that the new ownership will return the club to its glory days. But since the takeover by the Billionaire owner things has gotten worse for Newcastle.

The first change in the team was the sacking of the manager Steve Bruce who has been struggling to keep the club afloat the relegation zone and appointing Eddie Rowe who is known for his expertise in saving clubs from going down south.

Newcastle may have to start their rebuilding process from the Championship since they have failed to win a single match since the takeover, playing 7 league matches, drawing four and losing three which saw them languishing at the bottom of the table with just seven points.
