The current winger of the United States team will leave the Wolfburg youth team to go on loan to Heerenveen of the Eredivisie. This team finished 10th out of 18 teams last season and did not qualify for European competitions. The 19-year-old, a product of the Los Angeles Galaxy Academy, will be on loan for one season and will wear number 7.

Last season he only played games for Wolfburg's youth team and had no chance to play in the Bundesliga. In the youth team he played 16 games, scored 11 goals and made 6 assists. Despite the great performance they had in the season with the U19 team, they finished in second place and did not qualify for the final round.

Llanez made his debut with the United States senior team despite never having played in the First Division. His debut came in 2019 when the United States faced Costa Rica. In that match, Llanez scored his first goal, giving the United States victory 1-0
