Monterrey have equalled fellow Mexican club Pachuca in number of Champions League finals played and could also equal them in numbers won if they beat Club America to lift the trophy.
They have won all four finals they have played and boast a 100% record, a record also owned by Pachuca (five finals played, five finals won) and Club America (seven finals played, seven finals won) and they have the chance to match Pachuca in all records and ruin Club America's perfect record.
Monterrey won three CONCACAF Champions League finals back to back in 2011, 2012 and 2013 and took a six years hiatus from the final and returned in 2019 to win it again.
