Mauricio Pochettino is still settling in Paris Saint-Germain after his arrival in the club to replace Tomas Tuchel. The Argentine has already won his first title, after defeating Olympique Marseille on the French Supercup, and has then been infected with COVID-19, the reason why he couldn’t join the practices and will lose some matches.
But Poche is already having some other problems at the Parisian side. After his arrival, president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and sport adviser Leonardo advised him that they were seriously thinking on axing the Argentine midfielder Leandro Paredes, who arrived to the club on January 2019 from Zenit for $40 million.
Paredes is now 26 years old and, with a contract until June 2023, he could be sold to some tope European team. The problem with him is that he is one of the best friends on Neymar and a key player for the squad at the locker room. Axing him could make the first big war explode on the Parisian side.
Formed in Boca Juniors, the midfielder is now a key part of his national team and played during his career at Chievo Verona, AS Roma, FC Empoli, AS Roma, Zenit, and, finally, PSG. At his actual club he had 69 appearances, in which he scored just one goal and gave three assists, numbers that are considered to poor at PSG nowadays.
