Luka Modric publicly supported Zinedine Zidane and now the locker room in Real Madrid is on fire

It is not a secret that Real Madrid’s locker room is going through a civil war. After some bad results that made the team drop positions in the league and almost leave UEFA Champions League, a group of players have questioned whether Zinedine Zidane is the right coach for the club, while others totally supported him and are not afraid to show it.

Luckily for Zidane, the most influential players are on his side, with Luka Modric being one of them. Zizou sees his former self in Modric, in regards to skill and position, and his advices made of the Croatian one of the best midfielders in the world. Modric is grateful to him and did something that showed that to everybody.

After Real Madrid defeated Borussia Mönchengladbach and qualified to Champions League next round, the club made a post on Instagram with a picture of Zidane and his statistics with number of trophies and goals after his 150th victory. And Modric did not think twice to like that post.

At this point, everybody knows their place in this conflict, but it looks like the Zidanists are winning the war. The president Florentino Pérez has had a tough relationship with the coach and is the most important man in the other side, with the rest being back up players. But Zidane’s bonding with the core of the group will be important for him to keep his job.
