The second day of the 2021/22 UEFA Champions League matchday five will be played across different stadiums in Europe this evening and tonight. Italian champions Inter Milan will host Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk and are expected to have 50,000 fans in attendance at the San Siro.
The match will generate a sizable income for the club on ticket sales. The price of the ticket as announced by the club on its official website is €25 while it is subsidised for younger age groups of below 16 years. Regardless, the club is set to pocket about €1,250,000 from the sales.
Inter Milan are currently second on the group table, two points behind 13 times UEFA Champions League winners Real Madrid and a win and some help from Madrid certainly guarantees their passage to the knockout stage of this year's competition.
The club is coming off the back of the end of their long term shirt sponsorship with Pirelli, announcement of huge debts despite winning Serie A and the loss of manager Antonio Conte and striker Romelu Lukaku. They currently sit third on the Serie A table, four points off the top.
