In an interview to MLSSoccer.com, Dynamo chief marketing officer Katie Scallan told: “From a marketing standpoint, we are always looking for ways to innovate our brand and connect with our fans. One way we can do that is by doing a better job of representing the Houston community and tapping into the culture of our city”.
If this decision is made, Dynamo will have to adapt to a new logo and the possibility of changing the name of the franchise is even being analyzed. There is another similar case in the league. Chicago Fire, took the same steps and which also implemented some time ago.
There also would be more changes in the structure of the franchise. According to The Athletic, Dynamo majority owner Gabriel Brener is also investigating a sale of his share of the club.
