Diaz joined Liverpool from Porto for around $51 million in January 2022 and signed a five-and-a-half-year contract with the Reds. Since his arrival with Liverpool, Diaz has played 64 Premier League matches throughout three seasons, scoring 16 goals. This season, Diaz scored eight goals and provided five assists in 34 Premier League matches, where Jurgen Klopp often played him as the right winger. His pace and skills would excite PSG fans as he would shine as the left winger for the French champions.

Mbappé has played more centrally this season for PSG under Luis Enrique in Ligue 1 but has also played on the left. Mbappé has played 28 league games this season, scoring 26 goals and providing 7 assists. The French star is likely to be played as a striker at Real Madrid since Vinicius Jr. has occupied that position for the last few years. Mbappé has not had luck in the striker role in the Champions League recently, as he struggled against Borussia Dortmund yesterday.
