While Cristiano Ronaldo's bodyguards earn around $250K, Lionel Messi reportedly pays his bodyguard $3 million a year. The Argentine's bodyguard, Yassine Chueko, is always seen beside Messi before Inter Miami games after Inter Miami games and is on the sidelines of the pitch in case someone from the stands approaches him. Chueko reportedly is with Messi almost 24/7 and is fully in charge to only protect the Inter Miami forward. According to La Vanguardia, there is also a security group of 50 people in the United States who protect Messi's family. Messi and Chueko have gotten to build a friendship over this past year at Inter Miami since they are often seen together for Inter Miami games.

Messi's bodyguard, Yassine Chueko, was born in the United States but is of Muslim descent because of his parents. Some reports suggest that Chueko was a former soldier who was in the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. Chueko is also an MMA fighter, which allows him to take down a person who tries to harm Messi. The bodyguard has other combat backgrounds like Boxing, Muay Thai, and Taekwondo.

In Ronaldo's case, the Portuguese star has two twins who accompany him outside of the pitch. The two bodyguards' names are Sergio and Jorge Ramalhiero, and they have been with the Portuguese star since his second arrival at Manchester United a couple of years ago. Each of them earns $250k a year, which means that Ronaldo spends half a million on security. Each of the bodyguards makes nearly $21,000 a month. Both of them were a part of the Portuguese security police association and are familiar with combat and weapons.

What is next for Ronaldo and Messi?

Both Ronaldo and Messi will play with their clubs today in their respective leagues. Ronaldo and Al Nassr will take on Al Khaleej, while Messi and Inter Miami will take on the New England Revolution. Ronaldo and Messi traveled for their matches as their teams were on the away side.
