Hakim Ziyech gave the blues their 500th Champions League goal away from home to Malmo in Sweden. The goal came from a sublime pass of Hudson-Odoi in the 57th minute of the game.

The goal is absolutely enough to earn Chelsea three points and have them sitting comfortably in second position with nine points in the group. The Champions League winner has reached a special landmark with the goal.

Other clubs who have surpassed the 500 Champions League goal are Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Barcelona. This is a huge feat for the London club as this places them among elite clubs in the Champions League.

This could be a motivation for the Club despite not being with their two strikers Romelu Lukaku and Timo Wener who were out due to injury. Should they follow the same path they did last year, they may score more goals to be closer to the team at the top of the ladder, Real Madrid.
