Germany continued their magnificent run in Group I of the 2022 FIFA World Cup European qualifying series by beating Liechtenstein 9-0 in a match that typically has no effect on Germany and only added bragging rights.

Die Mannschaft were missing five key players including Niklas Süle who tested positive to COVID-19 and Joshua Kimmich, one of the players who had come in contact with Süle while the DFB failed to reveal the identity of the other three players who were isolated.

Bayern Munich duo of Leroy Sane and Thomas Muller got two goals each while there were also goals for Marco Reus and Ridle Baku while the other two goals were own goals as Hansi Flick men ran riot against the lowly European country.

Germany have now scored 32 goals in the European qualifiers while conceding just three goals and Hansi Flick became the first manager to win his first six games as Germany manager.
