Eden Hazard is clearly not living up to the expectations. He moved to Spain after Real Madrid paid Chelsea more than 100 million euros. But he suffered a lot of minor injuries and gained weight, factors that prevented him of playing regularly and getting confidence. And now he has been mocked by Burger King.
The Belgian, who has had plenty of issues with his managers regarding his weight, did not go to train yesterday because of an injury. The Spanish TV show El Chiringuito tweeted about that, without stating the reason and asking why. So the Twitter account of Burger King in Spain quoted that post and told there is a 2x1 offer. And of course, it went insanely viral.
Hazard has told many times he loves food, and told about a time he was subbed off in a Belgium game when he was younger and he left the stadium with his father to eat burgers. And while he was in quarantine he confessed he was trying not to eat a lot of buns. So the burger chain account knew where to attack.
Still, this funny post has been seen at Real Madrid as disrespectful and highly unprofessional. They still trust Hazard and hope he becomes again the great player he once was. He always said his dream was to play for the Casa Blanca, and he does not want to be remembered like this.
