Columbus Crew SC has settled a before and after in MLS history. Once again they are trying to be pioneers in the league. This time with a new stadium that will be fully equiped to create an unique environment with a new targe: intimidating rivals.

During 2019, The Crew had one of the worst audience number on the league with an average of 14,284 people per match; only Chicago Fire had a worst number. In order to get closer to its fans, they've started building a stadium at the centre of Ohio's state city. The new stadium will be different as fans will watch games in a closer view than today.

"It was an intentional decision of the owners that fans, when they are in the internal corridors, always have eye contact with what is happening on field," expressed Matt Schuepbach, proyect's chief designer. As at MAPFRE Stadium, club's loudest fans will be in the stands known as Nordecke. The structure of the new stadium will have terraces that will allow other fans to see what happens in the Nordecke, to expand the experience during games.
