The 2021 Gold Cup begins to take shape, which will be held, as usual, in the United States, and after confirming the venue for the qualifying phase, the city chosen by Concacaf to contest the definition of the contest has been revealed, on Sunday, August 1.

According to the journalist Avi Creditor, from Sports Illustrated, the organizing body of soccer in North, Central America and the Caribbean defined that the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, the home of the Las Vegas Raiders, an NFL team, is the scenario that receives the defining match.

Thus, it remains to be defined, on the part of Concacaf, the scenarios that will host both the group stage and the quarterfinals and semifinals of the 2021 Gold Cup, taking into account that in the last edition, two years ago, it was played in three countries: the United States, Costa Rica and Jamaica.

The contest will be played in three stages: qualifying phase, where 12 teams will look for one of the three places to enter the main draw; group stage, with the 16 best teams in the confederation separated into four zones of four teams; and final phase, where the two best of each group, will advance to the next round.
