Golden State Warrior Stephen Curry is the highest paid player in the NBA, the star will earn a whooping sum of $45,780,966 million in the 2021/2022 season. He's to sign a new contract that will see him earn a total of $215 million over four years.

Paris Saint Germain star, six times Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi earns €35 million ($40,950,000) yearly as a PSG player. The former Barcelona star is the highest earner in PSG and Ligue 1. 

His contract with PSG will see him earn $104 million in two years. His yearly earnings are a few million dollars less than that of the NBA 's highest paid player.
