Mexico National Team will face USMNT, Honduras and El Salvador for the last CONCACAF Qualifiers match window at the end of this month looking to secure their ticket to the 2022 FIFA World Cup, as only Canada MNT has guaranteed their access so far.

But it seems that Gerardo “Tata” Martino will have to move his pieces and look for new players to fill the roster that he will call for the upcoming FIFA match window, as at least one of his usual players is questionable given he’s dealing with an injury.

Rogelio Funes Mori wasn’t part of the squad that Victor Manuel Vucetich called for CF Monterrey’s last game against Mazatlán FC last weekend, and he will miss at least one more game, although he might not be ready to face the Clásico Regio on Saturday and hence El Tri’s games.

When Javier “Chicharito” Hernández learned of the probable absence of Funes Mori -who hasn’t had any merits to be called by Martino as he was a liability on the past FIFA match window-, he sent a message to “Tata” and everyone in FMF.

What’s the message he sent?

“Chicharito” keeps confirming that he’s back to his old self, as he continues to increase his scoring streak with Los Angeles Galaxy, where he has scored two goals in the three games that the Galaxy has played in the 2022 MLS Season so far.

If those goals are added to the 17 that he scored last season, “Chicharito” Hernández becomes the active striker with most goals scored recently, something that Gerardo Martino can’t keep ignoring, as El Tri needs a forward that can score regularly.

Will Martino consider calling him again?

According to sports journalist Enrique Bermúdez, Javier Hernández has spoken with Martino and he’s willing to call him again if he publicly apologizes with both the roster and the Mexican Football Federation, but so far, he hasn’t said a thing.

But if Hernández doesn’t apologize, Martino is considering calling Santiago Giménez and José Juan Macías, as both strikers have slowly regained their shape and have become an asset for Cruz Azul and Chivas, respectively.
